Sense has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Communications team in King's Cross, London. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week.

About the role

The Communications Officer will play a key part in helping to raise the profile of Sense and the people we support, securing high profile media coverage to support key functions of the charity, including fundraising, operations and trading. The role is also responsible for managing the press office, monitoring and evaluating coverage, and working with colleagues across the organisation to generate stories and deliver coverage and compelling digital content.

About you 

You will be a creative individual with PR experience, either in-house or agency.You will have a great knowledge of the media landscape and an interest in policy and disability issues.  Above all, you will have a positive, can-do attitude, and a hunger for securing quality press coverage.

You will be able to work well both independently and as part of a team and be able to work to deadlines whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail. It'd be great if you had a commitment to working in the charity sector and developing an understanding of disability issues, and how people with sensory impairments interact with digital media.
