A rare and exciting opportunity exists to join one of Australia’s most well respected and fastest growing international development organisations – The Fred Hollows Foundation. Working across 26 countries, our vision is for a world where no one is needlessly blind.

With teams in both the UK and Australia our Global Partnerships and Advocacy division works to identify and develop strategic partnerships, globally. These partnerships increase The Foundation’s impact on ending avoidable blindness by facilitating collaboration with organisations who share our vision.

Reporting to our Director of Global Partnerships and Advocacy, the Global Lead – Partnerships is accountable for identifying, developing and managing strategic partnerships that elevate our performance, add greater value to the eye health sector and ensure The Foundation is recognised as a leading international development organisation globally. The priority for this position is to strengthen existing partnerships, whilst exploring new partnerships and global engagement opportunities which help us broaden our span of influence and ultimately help us deepen our impact.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking someone who has;

  • Substantial experience in establishing and managing strategic partnerships and collaborations
  • Extensive experience in effectively managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Extensive experience leading and developing strong teams including managing teams remotely
  • Previous experience in developing and implementing strategic and operational plans
  • Previous experience in international development or eye health (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of the global challenges of health service provision and broader development practices
  • Knowledge of change management with particular reference to health and development.
