Job Details

Three month fixed-term contract

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

Unicef UK’s Supporter Care team needs a Supporter Care Adviser to champion the needs of Unicef’s supporters, always ensuring that they are at the centre of our work for children. As the first point of contact for both our supporters and members of the public, this role requires you to ‘think with your head’ and ‘act with your heart’ to ensure that the very best experiences are being felt by all those that contact and engage with us.

As a Supporter Care Adviser, you will be joining a dedicated team who provide the highest level of supporter care service and help expand relationships by responding to enquiries received though a range of contact channels. You will have previously worked in a customer contact environment, using a variety of communication methods, including social media, and have used databases. You will also be able to work effectively and co-operatively as part of a team, taking ownership of queries and seeing them through to an effective resolution.

Our Supporter Care service is available from 8am to 6pm, so you will need to be able to work 8 hour shifts across this period.

Act now and visit www.unicef.org.uk/jobs to apply online.

Closing date: 5pm, Tuesday 26 March 2019.

Interview dates: Monday 8 April 2019.

We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, candidates with disabilities, and from men, because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at this level. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to greater results for children.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights.

If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care on 0300 330 5580 during office hours.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
