Description

This is a strategic leadership role within the organisation based in Merseyside and will manage a team.

Role Responsibilities of the Head of Marketing and Communications:

  • Responsibility for the development and implementation of the marketing strategy and to act as brand guardian.
  • Manage communications with internal and external stakeholders,
  • Manage production of key literature, content on the website, PR strategy, events and social media.
  • Create and deliver the internal communications strategy
  • Inspire, motivate and guide all who contributes to the Marketing function and provide training and mentoring as necessary.
  • Manage all budgets associated with marketing activities and report regularly on progress.

Profile

The successful Head of Marketing and Communications will be based at the site in Merseyside and be articulate, persuasive and highly credible, able to work effectively with a wide range of people and bring about change with resilience and confidence.

The ideal person will have an excellent track record of success in strategic marketing, communications, general management, customer care and team leadership, within an educational or commercial environment.

It is essential that the Head of Marketing and Communications has exceptional verbal and written communication skills. They will also be an organised, flexible and highly personable individual who can be calm, confident and professional with diverse audiences.

Essential

  • Graduate in Marketing or equivalent Marketing / Communications / PR / Digital experience.
  • Substantial professional experience in marketing in an educational or commercial role.
  • Significant leadership and line management experience, with the ability to build and develop strong teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to take both a strategic overview and hands-on approach and the ability to move between strategic and tactical marketing.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, with excellent project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
