Senior Catering Worker 

Our client is a national charity that supports those affected by imprisonment and their children and families. 

Position: Senior Catering Worker 
Location: HMP Pentonville, London 
Job type: Part Time, Permanent 
Hours: 23 per week 
Salary: £12,880 per annum (FTE £21,000)

About the role: 

As the Senior Catering Worker at HMP Pentonville you will be responsible for ensuring high quality refreshments are available to prisoners and their family and friends during visits. You will work as one of the Pact Family team, which provides family based support to prisoners, as well as support to the families of prisoners through advice and guidance, and facilitating prison visits. 

About you: 

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience and understanding of customer service, managing stock and supervising a small team of staff including volunteers. You will also have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise your own workload. 

You will be able to provide warm, human support and to ensure that children, families and prisoners are treated with respect, dignity and courtesy.

This post is subject to a 6 month probationary period, verification of identity and proven right to work in the UK, satisfactory references from previous employers covering a 3 year period, declaration of any unspent criminal convictions (and where appropriate a satisfactory risk assessment), Prison Vetting and a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check. Please note that being bankrupt or having County Court Judgements may affect your ability to be successfully vetted to work in a prison.
