Our client opened the world’s first safe house for women and children fleeing domestic violence in Chiswick, West London in 1971. Since then the charity has grown to become the country’s largest single provider of specialist domestic violence services. On any given day, its national network of services supports over 6,000 women and children. Committed to a world where domestic violence is not tolerated and where women and children can live in safety, The organisation aims to empower women and children rebuild their lives, free from violence and fear.

Position: HR Advisor
Location: Tower Hill, London
Job type: Full Time, 1 year Fixed Term Contract, Maternity Cover
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £32,891 to £36,779 per annum pro rata

About the role:

They are looking for an experienced HR Adviser to cover maternity leave for up to one year. You will provide the full scope of HR interventions, from recruiting effectively, managing complex employee relations cases, coaching managers to actively people manage and advising on organisational change, particularly around TUPE.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will need to be an HR generalist with strong interpersonal skills who can work effectively as part of a team. You will have demonstrable experience in managing a caseload of employee relations cases, experience of restructures and / or TUPE as well as with managing and coordinating recruitment campaigns. A CIPD qualification would be beneficial but not essential. You will demonstrate confidence in communicating at all levels across the business, be self-motivated with the ability to work pro-actively and a willingness to go the 'extra mile'.
