Prospectus is working exclusively with the Crafts Council and are assisting them in sourcing a Development Manager, Grants to join their Fundraising team.

The Crafts Council is the only national agency for craft. They deliver a huge range of programmes across the UK, reaching an audience of over 3.5million people per year, developing talent programmes that develop the next generation of makers and challenging perceptions around the potential of craft.

The Development Manager, Grants will join a team of seven that secures the funding to ensure the Craft Council can deliver their ambitious programmes. The post holder will be responsible for all funding applications to trusts and statutory funders; working closely with the SMT and Trustees to build and manage relationships with these supporters. The Development Manager will inherit a strong portfolio of existing trusts and foundations and will support colleagues to develop cultivation and stewardship plans for grant makes in the wider prospect pool.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of securing income from Trusts and Foundations and public funders. You will have strong relationship management skills with the ability to develop and enhance relationships with new and existing funders. Exceptional communication, creative writing and attention to detail are all necessary skills for this role. Experience of working with arts funders and managing budgets are highly desirable skills.
