Purpose of the role
Working closely with the Chairman, Board of Trustees and Founder the new CEO will implement First Steps ED vision to be the East Midlands Eating Disorder charity and provider of choice for the communities in which we serve, their families and our stakeholders.
With excellent influencing skills, the successful candidate will need to motivate, encourage and bring energy to the delivery of our strategic objectives and goals with a real can-do attitude and an aptitude for problem solving. The new CEO will identify and adapt initiatives for working collaboratively with NHS and other priority sectors, seeking out new partnership opportunities.
This person will
- Lead and inspire FSED staff, volunteers and partners to deliver our vision for transforming eating disorders care and peer support, and our objective of a volunteer with lived experience to be available to support any current service user.
- Represent FSED externally to a diverse range of people across sectors including in the NHS, education, voluntary and private sector, and funders.
- Ensure FSED continues to develop into a high performing, sustainable charitable organisation and has a governance structure that remains fit for purpose.
- Further the work of FSED staff, volunteers and partners ensuring that our community, their families and stakeholders regard FSED as the provider of choice.
