HEAD OF FUNDRAISING

“We get to treat our patients as individuals rather than a number in a bed. Wouldn’t you love a job where you can make a real difference every day?”

Are you an experienced operational leader who thrives working both as part of a team and leading a team?  Are you a ‘hands-on’ person who is comfortable working both with the existing Fundraising Team here at St John’s Hospice and with individuals from the local community?  Do you relish the opportunity to lead, develop, expand and plan future fundraising projects for St John’s Hospice?

Are you a motivator?  Do you set high standards and have the ability to bring fresh ideas to an established team with plenty of energy and enthusiasm?  Are you committed to putting ‘the patient at the centre of everything we do”?

You will be motivated and innovative, committed to leading an enthusiastic team but also able to work individually and across boundaries.

Your experience will be in fundraising in the charity sector with a real flair to meet and exceed fundraising/income generation targets.  You will possess a genuine interest in hospice work and an understanding of the needs of individuals, families and businesses. Excellent communication and organisational skills are required.

You will be required to support the Fundraising Team with both on-going fundraising events and developing new innovative ideas for future events.  You will work very closely with both the Head of Retail and Head of Marketing and Communications to ensure all fundraising activities achieve maximum income generation.
