Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

Our client, a leading democracy-building organisation, is looking for an outstanding Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to lead, develop and implement MEL systems within the department.
The post holder will be joining the organisation at an exciting time and will take responsibility for demonstrating their impact and enable continued growth. You will work to improve and increase the use of monitoring data and evaluation evidence to inform learning, whilst overseeing the day-to-day activities of the monitoring and evaluation unit. You will work with office staff in London and abroad to advance a culture of evaluation and learning across the organisation, including the incentives, systems and processes that support evidenced based working.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to a wide range of stakeholders and make recommendations which reflect the organisation's aims and priorities. You will understand the strengths and weaknesses of different evaluation methods and how evidence can help shape the organisation's response to them. They will have a track record of robust technical understanding in monitoring and evaluation frameworks and possess experience of supporting its implementation. Although not essential to this post, expertise in outcome mapping and/or fluency in another language is desirable.
