Our client is the UK's leading dementia charity. They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.
Position: Group Coordinator
Location: Derby and Derbyshire South
Contract type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 17.5 per week
Salary: £9,306 actual per annum
Closing date: 21 March 2019

About the role:
Working within their Dementia Support Team as a Group Coordinator you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the planning and delivery of a range of group and community activities across Derbyshire. Providing group support and guidance to people with Dementia and their carers; improving their sense of well being and enabling them to remain independent and active members of their community.
The service is new to Derbyshire and so you will have the opportunity to work with service users and other partners to help design the shape of this new service.
About you:
You will be responsible for the co-ordination and facilitation of high quality group services delivered in a group or community setting within Derbyshire, that meet the needs of their service users. Supported by a team of volunteers, you will ensure that the service is run efficiently, effectively, safely and that contractual expectations are met.
They are looking for a well-motivated, creative and resourceful person; ideally who has proven experience managing volunteers.
Due to the nature of this role you will be required to travel independently. The office base will be Derby and you will work across Derbyshire.
