Chair of Cultural Sector Network
Volunteer Chair - network for the UK cultural sector
This voluntary position will be the principal public spokesperson for this national network of fundraisers working within the cultural sector. Chairing committee meetings and responsible for the proper functioning of the network and its sub-committees, the Chair will be passionate about delivering the agreed goals of the network:
- To raise the profile of fundraising for arts and heritage and extend its influence
- To enhance the expertise of cultural sector fundraisers and share that knowledge
- To engage with other charitable sectors to develop best practice and ethical fundraising
To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated, well-networked individual committed to the above goals, with extensive experience of fundraising within the cultural sector. You will have experience of working at senior level for a number of UK cultural organisations (either as an employee or consultant) with an in-depth understanding of the funding landscape for the sector.
The committee meets four times a year, and this role is envisioned to require on average commitment of 0.5-1 day per/w.
