Internal Communication and Engagement Officer -Strategic Development

Position: Internal Communication and Engagement Officer -Strategic Development
Location: Flexible across England, Wales and Northern Ireland
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 35 per week
Salary £28,282 to £29,696 actual per annum depending on location

About the role:
This is an exciting role suited to someone with a broad interest and experience in all aspects of employee voice – employee forums, engagement surveys, and data gathering and analysis. Alzheimer’s Society wants to deliver on its vision to create a world without dementia and being able to listen effectively to our people will help us achieve this.
Reporting to the Internal Communications and Engagement Manager (Strategic Development), you would play a lead role in supporting a strong and effective network of Employee Forums, and delivering the annual engagement survey and quarterly pulse surveys. You would take the lead in collecting and interpreting data, evidence and feedback, to make sure our communications channels and engagement activities are informed and shaped by our people. You would also contribute to the development of our channels.
About you:
You'll be a first class communicator, influencer, and listener. You’ll need to have a real interest in people, engagement, and what drives strong engagement, ambassadorship and belonging. You’ll have a diplomatic yet determined approach in all your professional relationships. You’ll be able to review survey data, anecdotal feedback and apply best practice guidance to suggest recommendations for how the organisation might improve engagement over time.
You’ll be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of engagement and have experience of working in internal communications, HR and/or an engagement role. You’ll have a proven track record of influencing and advising others. You’ll also have a good analytical eye and be a confident and engaging writer and communicator. Experience of working in a business partnering environment would be beneficial.
