We are delighted to be supporting a leading Scientific Membership organisation who have a worldwide base of Members working together to inspire, guide and represent a passion for science.

We are recruiting a Programme Manager (Business Innovation and Growth) to play a key role in creating and managing a Business and Innovation growth programme that encompasses networking, awards, business support as well as accelerator mentoring. Reporting to the head of Science and Innovation overall responsibility will include line managing a small team, handling budgets, as well as working internally with internal departments and external partner organisations. The successful candidate will lead on the development of a business case to support the launch of the Accelerator ensuring the team develops partnerships with affordable work space providers, incubators and accelerators across the UK and Ireland. You will develop partnerships with investors, funders and business support providers as well as leading on the Business Awards to increase the number of applicants. You will oversee the organisations prestigious awards programme including developing innovative ways to increase member engagement.

To be considered for this role it is essential to have programme management experience specifically relating to business support programmes and affordable work space providers as well as having an understanding and knowledge of UK science and innovation. Relationship building is essential along with managing multiple stakeholder relationships with business support organisations and investors. The placed candidate will be an excellent team player and have excellent negotiation skills with the capability to foster the development of a common vision. Experience of line managing a team is also essential. A STEM or relevant degree is desirable.
