Full Time
Contract Type

Chief Executive
Location: Tonbridge, Kent
Salary: c.£75,000

Parentkind is here to support more parents to engage in more schools in more ways to benefit as many children as possible. As well as being the UK’s leading membership body for Parent Teacher Associations, we also support and champion the role of parents in their child’s education through our guidance, training and research and by influencing educators, senior education policy makers and legislators.

We have recently gone through a brand change which signals a wider transformation and a marker of our shift in focus to being a powerful force for good in education in the UK; one that strives to bring homes and schools together for the good of all children and society as a whole. We have a hugely committed team that enables us to punch above our weight and we are at a point where we have the potential to grow the impact of our charity considerably.

As we look forward to an exciting future we seek a new Chief Executive who will be someone who shares our ambitions, is able to foster and drive innovation, and is committed to our mission to tirelessly support and champion all the ways parents can participate in education and have their voices heard.

We are looking for someone who possesses exceptional strategic, interpersonal and ambassadorial skills and the ability to perform a wide ranging role which will see you continue to drive change in our organisation and grow and extend our impact. You will have an entrepreneurial flair and be an innovative thinker with experience of supporting growth in income in different ways. Already an experienced leader in the charity, not for profit, education or social enterprise sectors, you will be agile and flexible, able to focus on the key things that will make the most difference and an able change manager. You will be an enabling leader who can get the most from our dedicated, capable and enthusiastic team. Representing Parentkind credibly in a variety of settings is vital so a track record in being an effective ambassador is key.
