An exciting new opportunity within one of London's leading universities has arisen for a temporary Departmental Administrator to provide key administrative support within the department.
Using a customer focused approach, the Departmental Administrator will ensure the smooth running of administrative processes in relation to research projects, teaching and events. You will work closely with the Business Manager to monitor the department's income and expenditure, ensuring that data records are appropriately maintained. Occasionally, you will assist the Events Coordinator in the organisation of workshops and conferences. The post holder will support colleagues in handling a range of queries, including expense claims, purchase orders and absence management.
In order to be considered for this post, you will need to have previous administrative experience, ideally within a higher education environment. Along with excellent IT and communication skills, you will be able to use your own initiative and work independently and proactively. The successful candidate will be familiar with finance processes and have the ability to deal with a wide variety of people and comprehend complex situations quickly.
