We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Manager to lead our professional team at our Sense Centre Leeds and Wakefield. This opportunity is to work 37.5 hours, across 7 days per week on a rota basis.

About the role 
Through your dynamic leadership you will create a fun and interactive learning environment. You will inspire learners to achieve the long term goals and fulfil their potential through a range of fun activities.

As a Manager you will provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to both children and adults with multiple sensory impairments and/or learning disabilities. You will effectively manage a team to deliver person centred, specialist services that meet organisational standards and expectations.

About you 
You will need to have a sound knowledge of person centred planning, rota planning, staff management/development and budget management. In order to support Sense’s commitment to high quality, accountable services, you will need to be aware of the expectations of the Health and Social Care Act 2015 and to develop an understanding of Senses’ Quality Assurance system. You will be required, to be registered with the relevant external agencies and maintain compliance.

You must be willing to work towards a Level Five Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or be working towards an accredited award. You will need to have had proven experience of supervising and line managing staff in accordance with policy and legislation, as well as experience of managing misconduct, grievance and performance issues.

As the successful candidate, you will have experience of dealing with challenging situations and of advocating in the best interests of individuals. In addition, you will have experience of managing change.
