Job Details

The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive, professional, efficient, general reception and administrative services within the GP Surgery.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that all patients and all visitors at reception and telephone callers to the practice are greeted professionally and politely
  • Answering all incoming calls from patients and healthcare professionals
  • Make/arrange/cancel appointments
  • Open, stamp and distribute practice post as instructed
  • Registrations
  • Scanning, filing, faxing, photocopying
  • Deal with referrals to primary and secondary care
  • Deal with referrals to primary and secondary care
  • Ensure patients information is up to date

Essential and desired experience

  • Experience using EMIS Web
  • Experience working within GP Surgeries and booking appointments
  • Smart card would be desired but not essential
