Senior Acquisition Officer – The Role

The Senior Acquisition Officer will play a key role in the development and delivery of our supporter acquisition programme for the UK office to recruit thousands of new financial supporters every year and achieve lasting impact for animals worldwide.

In this exciting role, you will take the lead in the development, delivery and budget management of the DRTV supporter acquisition channel as well as other channels such as paid social advertising, online display and PPC. You will also get to support the acquisition team in the successful development and delivery of other relevant projects and channels, including lottery, lead generation, email/TM conversion, pay per click, as well as mobile and payroll giving.

Using your strong communication and stakeholder management skills you will build relationships with external digital, media, telemarketing and creative partners and oversee creative production by taking responsibility for controlling budgets and meeting deadlines. This will involve negotiating robust and mutually beneficial partnerships with new suppliers.

We will look to you to evaluate campaigns, including completing and presenting end of project reports, and share learning to improve the overall performance of acquisition activities.

Senior Acquisition Officer – Requirements

·         You will have worked in a target-driven fundraising team within a charity and managed direct marketing projects across a range of channels from DRTV and mobile giving to Lottery and digital advertising.

·         You will have experience of briefing co-ordinating the creative and production processes of direct marketing projects.

·         You also understand how to build learning opportunities into marketing plans and projects to test and evaluate new opportunities and advise rollout decisions.

·         Comfortable managing multiple projects, you will possess strong communication and time management skills as well as an eye for detail.

·         You will also be highly numerate and can monitor and measure performance and interpret results to improve ongoing performance.
