Inclusion and Diversity Manager

Newark (with some UK travel)

£35,000 per annum

Permanent/Full Time 35 Hours Per Week

Our client believe that everyone deserves to live a healthy, wildlife-rich natural world and that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of wildlife in their daily lives.

They value courage, respect, integrity, trust and responsibility. Whilst they are passionate in promoting their aims, they are not judgemental, and they are inclusive. Our society is divided, and they want to reduce, not increase, that division. They are aware that whilst their beneficiaries are reflective of their communities, their staff and trustees are less so. Therefore, they are committed to addressing this.

The Inclusion and Diversity Manager will work to increase the diversity of their trustees and staff across the UK, growing their presence and profile in towns and cities, engaging with the full breadth of the communities where they work and actively expressing this in their mass communications and imagery. Working in partnership with their stakeholders, you will develop, implement and embed an Inclusion and Diversity framework that shapes their culture, builds awareness and increases their capabilities.

With good organisational skills, you must have previous experience of implementing Inclusion and Diversity initiatives whilst managing multiple stakeholders. It is also important that you can analyse and interpret complex people data and business information, and present your conclusions in a clear and compelling way.

They are a grassroots movement of 800,000 members, 43,000 volunteers and 2,800 staff across the UK dedicated to their vision and driven by their beliefs. There are 36 offices in England, four in Wales and Trusts for Scotland, Northern Ireland, Alderney and the Isle of Man. They have an unmatched presence on the ground helping to inspire millions of people about wildlife every year and managing nearly 100,000 hectares of land. Being part of their movement enables you to make a real difference and they look for people who share their values.

They are an equal opportunities employer and they actively seek to increase the diversity of their workforce and volunteers. They positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.

If you are a strong communicator who can influence change and challenge long standing beliefs and prejudices, they would love to hear from you!
