Digital Marketing and Communications Officer

Reports to: Head of Communications
Based at: Head Office, High Wycombe
Salary grade table: Specialist (SP5), £24,313.25 to £27,014.59 based on experience
Hours: 35 hours per week. Hours to be agreed with your line manager. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
Holiday: 36 days holiday a year including bank holidays 
Line management: No direct reports
The role: To deliver engaging online content that gets results.

Key responsibilities
•    Create brilliant and engaging content, tailored to digital personas and audience types, to bring in new audiences and retain our established community
•    Spot opportunities for and develop engaging content for a range of audience types through differing channels, including web, social and print
•    Develop and design assets, including video and as required
•    Co manage and develop content for social media channels 
•    Contribute to digital marketing strategy with tactics that deliver results 
•    Develop and deliver digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic to our website and services 
•    Manage our Content Management System (CMS), tracking conversion rates and adjusting page content and SEO to deliver against KPIs 
•    Monitor and report on analytics including Google Analytics and social media impact to test and learn for optimum reach
•    Plan and deliver email marketing strategy with a regular schedule of activity to grow our engaged audience with relevant and engaging content 
•    Manage volume email marketing account and proactively provide support and training to colleagues
•    Develop and manage relationships with online influencers and case studies to extend our reach
•    Keep abreast of consumer digital behaviour to identify new opportunities  
•    Review new technologies and keep the charity at the forefront of developments in digital marketing.
•    Any other duties as required.

Knowledge, skills and experience
•    Experienced digital marketer with at least 2 years’ experience 
•    Experienced with social media monitoring tools 
•    Experienced content creator of engaging content for a range of channels
•    Experience of bulk email management
•    Analytical skills and responsive to data and applying its learnings 
•    Strategic thinker who can see the bigger picture whilst being operational
•    Understanding of best practice in online marketing strategy
•    Experience of website/CMS systems
•    Use of Adobe suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro
•    Excellent PC and web skills
•    A positive, personable and confident communicator
•    Responsible
•    Ability to work on own initiative
•    Motivated, cooperative team player
•    Keen to learn
•    Understanding of stakeholder communications and digital personas
•    First rate organisational skills
•    Excellent attention to detail
•    Confident proof reader with excellent command of the English language
