Kidderminster
Up to £20,450 per annum
Fixed term contract for 18 months
Full time - 40 hours per week
Would you like to work in a position where you could really make a difference to improve the quality of life in neighbourhoods and maintain a sense of community?
Our client is a social business and one of Worcestershire's largest Registered Providers of social housing. The Group provides and manages general needs and sheltered housing homes.
They currently have an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience of community work to help ensure that their estates are nice places to live. In this rewarding role, you will be tasked with performing daily patrols, undertaking communal area and block inspections, identifying potential environmental issues such as fly tipping, graffiti and vandalism and reporting repairs.
At the centre of a partnership approach to preventing petty crime, vandalism and anti-social behaviour, you will be helping to maintain successful tenancies and reduce the fear of crime within the community. You really will play an active role in all changes that affect the area you patrol.
Full training will be provided, however our client is particularly interested in candidates with the following;
-a desire to work with the community to achieve change.
-good communication and people skills.
-strong observation skills.
The post is based on a 40 hour week (5 days) and requires working two shift patterns – 09:15-18:00 and 13:30-22:00: Monday to Saturday. Full training will be provided.
This post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
