Founded in 1997, today, IBP has offices in 80 countries worldwide, including in seven developing countries.  IBP provides technical and financial assistance to civil society partners and collaborates with governments, international institutions and the private sector to ensure that public spending budgets help meet public priorities, especially those of poor and marginalized communities. 

The board of IBP now seek up to three additional Trustees to support and provide governance of the highest quality and rigour as the organisation enters a phase of increased impact. 

New Board Members will share the motivation and values of IBP; be willing to make a strategic contribution as a learning partner to a board and will bring a background in one of the following areas; public finance or strategic communications. 

Candidates may also have skill sets in the following areas; Government/Non-Government, Organizing or Civic Organizing; Fundraising networks, International Legal and Organizational Development. 
International Budget Partnership is seeking Board Members from a range of backgrounds and is committed to a creating an ‘unlike minded board reflecting a mix and diversity of experience.
