Jewish Women’s Aid is the only charity in the UK working with Jewish women and their children affected by domestic and sexual violence. We provide a range of services including refuge and community support.
Jewish Women’s Aid is setting up a Sexual Violence Service – The Dina Project – offering Advocacy through the Criminal Justice System, a Helpline and Counselling for survivors.
We are looking to recruit an Independent Sexual Violence Advocate to support women aged 16 and over who have experienced sexual violence and who are either considering or going through the criminal justice system.
You will be empathic and be able to provide non-directive advocacy support with an ability to work under pressure. You will already have experience of working with vulnerable women in the criminal justice system. You will also have knowledge of sexual violence and its impact and an understanding of the Jewish community in the UK.
We will be holding a Recruitment Event on Monday 18th March from 4pm – 6pm in Finchley. This will be a chance for potential applicants to come and find out more about the role of ISVA and the Dina Project. To book in for this event please contact Suzi or Caroline (details below).
Please go to www.jwa.org.uk to download an application pack, or contact Suzi or Caroline (Office Manager) on info@jwa.org.uk or 020 8445 8060.
