Job Details

Prospectus is delighted to be partnering Respond, a unique organisation who provide specialist, therapeutic services to individuals with learning disabilities, autism and their families, with the aim of reducing trauma and abuse and the impact thereof. They utilise their clinical expertise to develop and deliver unique advocacy and support services to individuals and as such, they have helped a substantial number of individuals nationally. At an exciting time of expansion for the charity, they are now recruiting a Transforming Care Manager to lead their pilot service delivery team in the West Midlands.

As their Transforming Care Manager, you will initially be responsible for undertaking the final stages of setting-up their Transforming Care pilot service delivery and hub in the West Midlands region. A brand-new service for the charity, you will lead on the development of the team as well as being tasked with cultivating and embedding relationships with key stakeholders including commissioners, providers, clients and their families. Working collaboratively with the CEO and Clinical Director, you will take a strategic and operational lead ensuring the service design modelling and delivery is based on Respond's Trauma Informed Approach and is in accordance with commissioners' requirements. Finally, you will provide ongoing clinical direction and supervision to your team and contribute to the overall delivery of the service.

The specific focus of the pilot Service is to support the West Midlands Transforming Care Partnership to get people with learning disabilities, autism or both who are in hospital under the Mental Health Act (MHA) back to their local community and to prevent people from the local area being sent to hospital by bringing about a cultural change to the region.

To be successful, you will be an experienced project or service manager with clinical expertise and extensive knowledge and understanding of the core issues of abuse and trauma and its effects upon individuals with learning disabilities, autism and their families. A skilled therapist registered with your appropriate professional body you will have demonstrable experience of working collaboratively with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders. Finally, due to the nature of the post, a full understanding of different ways of working therapeutically with people with additional needs is essential, as is strong experience of team, budget and service management.

This is an incredible opportunity to join a unique charity as they expand their reach in supporting some of society's most vulnerable.
