Salary: Competitive

Drinkaware is an independent alcohol education charity working with both the alcohol industry and public sector bodies to tackle and help reduce alcohol-related harm. Established over 10 years ago by Government and the UK alcohol industry, our main objective is to positively change public behaviour by helping people make better choices about their drinking.

We are now seeking a new Director of Business Development, Partnerships and Public Affairs to both deepen our relationships with our existing funders and partners and lead the strategic development and management of corporate income generation. Our key decision-makers and stakeholders are a range of commercial, corporate affairs, Government and Local Government stakeholders. You will therefore also lead on public affairs, playing a vital role in ensuring that we retain and develop our role as a key partner to UK Government and the devolved administrations.

You will bring a proven track record in business development or corporate fundraising at a senior level and demonstrable experience of building sophisticated partnerships, driving income generation and growth. An effective negotiator and networker, you will have experience of building strong relationships both internally and externally. An inspiring and motivating leader, you will have managed a team to success.  As a small, but influential charity with an income of circa £6 million, we are looking for someone with an SME mentality, able to be both strategic and hands on where necessary. Above all, you will be a committed ambassador for Drinkaware, with a passion for helping us to achieve our vision of reducing alcohol-related harm by helping people make better choices about their drinking.
