Medical revalidation is the process through which doctors who are licensed to practise in the UK are required to demonstrate on a regular basis that they are up to date and fit to practise. Most doctors who hold a licence to practise will have a connection to a single designated body.

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK (FPM) is a professional membership organisation with 1,500 members, a registered charity and standard-setting body. We were established in 1989 as a medical speciality.

FPM is one of a few professional membership organisations who are legally recognised as a designated body for revalidation and there currently are over 600 doctors who have a prescribed connection with FPM.

We are seeking a high performing leader for this critical part of our operations. An interest in our work and broader understanding of the sector and medical revalidation are key. It also calls for the ability to operate at both a high level with senior stakeholders and at a practical “hands on” level to achieve detailed results. Flexibility is therefore key.
