Based in Leyburn, this Extra Care Scheme provides care and support to elderly and vulnerable people in a setting which aims to maintain their independence.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a positive and proactive Scheme Manager to join the team. The Scheme Manager will develop and maintain good working relationships, create services that promote and support our residents wellbeing and work closely with staff based on the scheme with the aim of providing residents with a seamless service.

You will lead in managing and motivating your team, developing and implementing service improvements and assist the Head of Support Services and the Area Supported Housing Manager to develop services and initiatives within extra care and related services as directed. This role will also include, undertaking needs and risk assessments and regular reviews to determine the customer’s requirements, plus managing the relationship with other care providers delivering care within the scheme as well as coordinating the provision of complementary services to ensure customer needs are being met effectively.

You’ll have:
-Experience of managing housing and/or care services to vulnerable people (or similar field).
-Experience of supervising staff, ability to supervise staff, ability to supervise staff, to lead and build effective teams.
-Professional qualification in relevant field (minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent) Supervisory/Management qualification
-Working knowledge of dementia, its effects, difficulties and challenges.
-Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults.
-A valid driving license and have use of a vehicle for work purposes.
