Therapeutic Waking Night Worker
Our client is a specialist organisation working with male children / young people who have histories of trauma, disrupted attachments and harmful sexual behaviour. They provide high quality residential care, education and therapeutic services designed to meet the individual needs of the young people. Abuse thrives in an atmosphere of secrecy. It is for this reason that our client adopts a policy of openness and equal communication between young people and staff.
Position: Therapeutic Waking Night Worker
Location: Bracknell & Reading, Berkshire
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 10:30pm to 8:30am
Salary: £16,000 to £20,000 per annum

About the role:
They are looking for Therapeutic Waking Night Workers to provide excellent standards of individualised care and support. Successful applicants will display a positive and resilient attitude. They will act as a role model to the children and young people and will uphold clear and consistent boundaries.
About you:
You will display empathy, creativity and a sense of fun; and will have good communication and IT skills.
You may have experience of the following: Waking Night Worker, Therapeutic Support Worker, Support Worker, Residential Support Worker, Care Staff, Young People, Residential Care Worker, Community Development, Mental Health, Challenging Behaviour, Social Worker, Community Services, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Charity, Charities, NFP, Not for Profit, Third Sector, etc.
They offer excellent induction for staff and ongoing training opportunities in attachment informed approaches (Dyadic Developmental Practice) and the Diploma 3 for the Children and Young People’s Workforce. The also provide benefits including enhanced disclosure cost coverage, a generous annual leave entitlement, cycle to work scheme, Nest Pension option and childcare vouchers.
