£18,000- £24,000 per annum depending on skills
Full and part time positions available
38.5 hours per week – 4 nights on/4 nights off – 9pm – 8am

They currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Support Worker (Internally known as Assistant Resident Coach - Nights) to help their hostel residents make the move to independent living. They firmly believe in proactively supporting our residents to improve their lives and they want to coach them to realise their goals, moving from supported housing to an independent way of life.
Even at night, their residents need support. You will be delivering a comprehensive support service to residents. You’ll also be carrying out assessments of new residents following referrals, devise and implement support plans and risk management plans; conduct regular coaching sessions and support the day staff. You’ll be supporting residents with complex needs; utilising your knowledge, skills and experience to recognise difficult or challenging resident situations, supporting colleagues to influence and bring about positive change to the residents’ behaviour, all whilst ensuring that residents are fully informed of their rights and responsibilities.
The successful candidate will have experience working with vulnerable people within a customer centred environment. You will be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, be IT literate and a confident decision maker and highly organised, enabling you to plan and prioritise effectively. Ideally, you will have evidence of community-based work/voluntary work and have experience in social care or housing-related sector. However, they are committed to training you in all aspects of the role, and a great attitude is the key to a successful applicant.
Due to the nature of the role, they are seeking driven and forward-thinking individuals. You must have a full clean UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle for work purposes. Please note, this role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
