Board Assurance Officer (Corporate Governance)

Salary range: £27,360.60 rising to £32,884.50 (Annual pay award pending)

Our client is an award-winning organisation providing management and maintenance services to around 7,000 residential, commercial and public buildings in the local area.  They are an ambitious organisation focused on delivering great value services that make a difference. They work closely with Colchester Borough Council and residents to make Colchester a better place to live and work.

They now have an opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic Board Assurance Officer. This post is a key role within the Company ensuring that they maintain excellent standards of corporate governance.

Within this key role you will perform duties including; preparing and submitting the annual returns, recording Director appointments, terminations and registered interests, and ensuring that annual financial statements are submitted to Companies House. You will also advise on, create and maintain governance policies / procedures and support the DPO with Data Protection activities.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to form effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Experience in dealing with requests for personal data and general information under the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts would be an advantage.
