The University of Manchester seeks an exceptional individual for this senior fundraising and leadership position.  The Head of Philanthropy will lead the fundraising for two major faculties, working collaboratively with the Deans and senior academics, to identify and shape exciting, impactful philanthropic priorities.

Fundraising and Alumni Engagement are an integral part of the University of Manchester today. The President & Vice Chancellor recognises the enormous value alumni and donors can bring to the University, not only through their generous financial support and investment but with their expertise, time and influence.

The Head of Philanthropy will be an experienced major gift fundraiser, responsible for leading the major gifts team to raise significant gift income. Leading by example, you will manage a portfolio of relationships with alumni and significant philanthropists, to secure gifts for bold, impactful projects and programmes across the University.  You will be results-oriented and ambitious, with sound judgement and an ability to build authentic relationships with a range of stakeholders.

This post is based in Manchester; a reduced working week, flexible hours and a portion of home working are all possibilities for outstanding candidates.
