The Organisation

Prospectus are delighted to be partnering with Heart of Bucks - the community foundation for Buckinghamshire. A funding organisation awarding grants and loans to local charities and community groups, they are dedicated to improving the lives of people in the local area, bringing together the financial resources of individuals, families, and businesses to support effective non-profits in their communities.

One of the strengths of the Heart of Bucks is their unique understanding of the needs of Buckinghamshire. Through research and outreach work they ensure that funding reaches those who need it most and can use it effectively.

The role

With the current CEO leaving in March due to a relocation, Heart of Bucks are now looking for its next Chief Executive to provide leadership and direction to help the organisation achieve its vision and objectives.

This is a comprehensive Chief Executive role with an outward facing focus, responsible for relationship and partnership development with donors and community organisations and securing opportunities for future growth through fund development, fundraising and profile raising.

With a small but busy team of 9 you will also be responsible for all aspects of governance, management and administration of BCF.

The Person

To be successful in this role you will need to be an enabling leader with the ability to run a small, dynamic organisation and a track record of delivering growth and managing teams. You will need fundraising/BD or sales and marketing skills at a senior level and must really enjoy building relationships and networking with a diverse range of stakeholders.

This would suit a highly motivated and commercially astute 'self starter' who is capable of being both strategic and hands-on. A natural leader who can engage and excite others, there is potential to grow and develop the organisation and its reach. With this in mind it would suit someone able to realise that potential and who is committed to social justice and community focussed work.
