We have a new job opportunity in our Finance team for a Senior Financial Accountant to play a key role in the BHF's finance control function, particularly in relation to checking supplier payments, managing month-end close processes and year-end reporting and other regulatory compliances (including NEO, Gambling Commission and tax compliance)

In this role you'll act as the lead finance contact for Restricted Funds, ensuring these processes and controls are effectively managed and performed across the BHF.

Contributing to the development and maintenance of a strong level and culture of financial control across the BHF you will be involved in external reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best in class practices, as well as year-end routines and audit assistance.

About you

You'll be a CCAB or equivalent qualified accountant with significant experience PQE. You'll have relevant charity sector experience including within VAT and Charity SORP and will have a sound understanding of fund accounting, controls and restricted income and expenditure reconciliations

With previous experience of working closely with a range of stakeholders from different teams and with different levels of finance knowledge, you'll be able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation and will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
