About the role:

Equality, diversity and inclusion are more than words at Alzheimer’s Society. They shape the way we run our organisation and they drive our determination to recognise and honour the fundamental value of every person. So we don’t simply recognise difference. We celebrate it and work hard to ensure that our workplace is inclusive for everyone and that the profile of our volunteers and employees reflects the wider community we serve.

Do you have the confidence to challenge assumptions and see things from different perspectives?

Are you passionate about removing barriers to inclusion?

Then you could now help us deliver our strategy and make a real difference.

About you:

In this influential role, you will lead the Society in ensuring that we take all practicable steps to create an inclusive and representative workforce. More than that, you will work at all levels of the Society to help us overcome any real or perceived barriers in how we work involving all our people to create a truly inclusive organisation.

By drawing on your experience of equality, diversity and inclusion and delivering large scale programmes of work, you will be instrumental in making sure that we live up to our ambitions, both internally and publicly.

You must have a substantial, demonstrable understanding of discrimination legislation across the different legal jurisdictions we work in. You will also have significant experience of developing, managing and evaluating equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives, preferably at a senior or national level. Strong influencing skills and professional presence will be key to your success in this role.

While you do not need to be based in London, you must be willing to travel regularly to our central office and occasionally nationally.

Our employees work hard every day to make a true difference in people's lives. We are proud to support them with a range of benefits, recognition and many options for working agilely. All contributing to a strong work life balance. We also have various learning programmes to support you in your development and help you grow to realise your potential and shape a career with Alzheimer's Society.

Alzheimer’s Society is committed to equal opportunities.

You may have experience of the following: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, ENEI, Participation Initiatives, Inclusion Initiatives, Programme Manager, Project Manager, Charity, Third Sector, Not for Profit, etc.
