IT Technician (Student Placement)
It is an exciting time for our client as they embark on a major transformation programme. Position: IT Student Placement
Location: Plymouth, South West, PL6 5WS
Job type: Full Time, Up to 12 months Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 37 hours per week, Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time
Salary: £20,655 per annum
About the role:
Joining them for a 12 month placement within their Digital, Data and Technology Directorate in the vibrant, waterfront city of Plymouth, you’ll have the opportunity to work across a number of different IT areas, developing your skills and experience.
The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate is the in-house IT division for our client. Their teams are at the heart of our client’s move to more agile delivery of cutting-edge digital services while maintaining their excellent system availability to their customers
About you:
Experience of using databases, building and maintaining hardware and data and system security would be a benefit. Your main duties will include database administration; the installation, administration, management and maintenance of databases in support of our client business. This includes supporting their core casework systems.
Currently engaged in a relevant (IT-related) degree programme, and looking for a placement year in industry.
They'll assess you against these behaviours during the selection process: Changing and Improving; Working Together; Delivering at Pace.
