Part Time Operations Project Manager
The Henry Smith Charity is one of the largest grant making foundations in the UK, distributing around £30m of grants each year. It aims to bring about lasting change to people's lives, helping them to benefit from and contribute to society, and achieves this by funding organisations that work with people to reduce social and economic disadvantage.
Having recently launched a new grants strategy, the trustees have approved a resources implementation plan which covers projects across the whole organisation including grantmaking, learning and evaluation, IT & database, HR, compliance and office facilities.
We are now seeking to recruit a Part Time Operations Project Manager, 3 days a week, with the skills to take an overview of the programme, and support the senior management team and staff in the timely delivery of the programme, while also being keen to become directly involved in the implementation of the individual projects where appropriate. This role will be held as part of a job share with another member of staff.
The successful candidate will be experienced in delivering projects, as well as managing them, demonstrating strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate the teams you work with. You will also have experience of reporting back to senior management on the progress of all projects. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to adapt your approach when working with different colleagues.
The role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract from mid-April. Interviews will be held on Thursday 7th March.
