Are you an experienced Trust fundraiser who would love to use your skills to help them Beat Macular Disease?

Sight loss should never mean loss of confidence, loss of independence, loss of life. Over a million people in the UK are losing their sight through macular disease, the leading cause of blindness in the developed world. 

Our client is working with the UK’s most prestigious fundraisers to deliver their ultimate ambition - to Beat Macular Disease for the next generation. They are determined to end the fear and isolation of macular disease with world-class research and the best advice and support.

They are undergoing significant changes, with a transformational new strategy to multiply their income in order to fund the research that will find a cure. The Trusts Officer is a vital part of this vision, contributing to the growth of income to £1m per year from trusts, foundations and statutory grants by 2024. 

Your excellent research, relationship building and written skills will help them to achieve their mission. Working in the Trusts and Philanthropy team, you will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, managing a portfolio of existing funders and cultivating relationships with new trusts and foundations. The money you raise will help them end the devastating impact of sight loss experienced by people with macular disease and future generations, through their growing research programme and range of support services, as well as core costs.

To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
•    Excellent written communication skills to produce written materials that are inspiring, concise and informative.
•    An up to date knowledge of fundraising research sources and methodologies.
•    Ability to work proactively under own initiative.
•    A team player, with a flexible approach willing to work with and support colleagues across the organisation.

As part of the interview process you will also be required to complete a written assessment.
