Are you an experienced Communications Manager with a background or interest in the sports sector?   
   
Prospectus is excited to be partnering with a women's sports charity to source their new Communications Manager to lead and deliver the corporate communications and PR/media strategy for the charity. The organisation is focused on promoting opportunities for sports and physical activity through advocacy, information and education, research, training and campaigning for policy change.  The overall purpose of the Communications Manager role  is to lead, develop and project manage the implementation of the corporate and digital communications strategy to increase  awareness and fundraising campaigns.    
    
Day to day duties will include developing compelling key messages, narrative driven speeches, presentations and reports, overseeing the planning and delivery of the wider communications activity as well as creating  engaging communications and online and offline marketing collateral. Working closely with the fundraising team this person will support them with fundraising objectives, monitoring the impact through social media. Working closely with the Head of Engagement and Communications, the successful candidate will develop and deliver the PR/Media relations strategy, create income generating communications and marketing campaigns including monitoring and evaluation of all marketing and communications campaign activity. This person will have the opportunity to  contribute to team meetings along with attending events where relevant. In addition this role will be responsible for drafting media statements, responses and press releases as well as responding to media enquiries as and when required.    
    
To be considered for this role it is essential to have proven experience of working in a communications and marketing role with experience of proactive and reactive media relations skills. A solid understanding of sing offline and online marketing and communications is essential such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram Linked In. You are required to have experience of working with CMS website management systems with the ability to analyse complex information. Experience of communicating to a wide range of audiences including fundraisers and donors is required for this role accompanied with line management experience. Experience relating to gender equality is desirable and ideally you will have some knowledge and experience within the sports sector.
