Based at St Barnabas House, Worthing

St Barnabas House is the adult hospice for Adur, Arun and the Worthing area. We provide specialist palliative care for adults in the hospice and also in the community and patients’ own homes. We also provide support and counselling for patients and their families.

We are recruiting a Development Fundraiser who can build dynamic relationships with major donors and corporate supporters from both new and existing contacts to maximise income for the hospice. You will identify and pursue opportunities to broaden relationships and contribute to the development of a PR and Marketing plan. This role requires strong relationship management and business development skills as well as attention to detail and an organised approach.

The successful individual will demonstrate:

  • Experience of successful account management
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to convey ideas and information succinctly and persuasively
  • Experience of delivering regular presentations to clients and staff
  • Experience of successful event management

Educated to A-level or equivalent, the successful applicant will have great communication skills and some experience in fundraising or an equivalent area. 

A full driving licence and own transport are essential for this post.
