About English Rural Housing Association
English Rural Housing Association is a leading national rural specialist working to provide affordable homes in small villages for local people. We own and manage around 1,250 affordable properties, spread amongst 150 villages, and have a development programme of around 200 more homes. After 11 successful years, our current Chief Executive has decided to retire and a new Chief Executive has been appointed from April 2019. The Association has a main office in central London with all service activity delivered from a separate office in Guildford. Following an In-Depth Assessment in 2018, the Association kept the highest regulatory judgments of V1 and G1.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to shape a newly created role within the Association as we continue to deliver our successful business strategy. Working closely with the Chief Executive and other senior team members, this role will have the potential to transform the current approach to communications. Beyond the usual communications brief, this role will also be involved in external policy influence, business improvement and digital evolution. The role will actively enable new business growth opportunities through targeted campaigns. This is an exciting role for an ambitious and informed self-starter.

About you:
To succeed in this role, you’ll have a proven record of success within a fast-paced communications environment. You will need excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with an eye for detail. Enterprising, self-reliant and a natural networker, you will have a talent for displaying good judgment and making the most of opportunities. Experience in website management and a flare for copy-writing is essential. The right candidate will be proficient in design software and have a genuine interest in how technology can support business improvements.

Closing Date: 9am on Monday 25th February 2019
Interviews: Friday 8th March 2019
