About the role: 

Our Client are looking for an experienced UX designer to join the Charity’s Digital Development team. On their team, a UX designer will drive user-centric solutions for their web-based products and other digital projects. At the same time, they expect all team members to constantly suggest new tools, ways of working, and approaches to solution design. They expect this role to keep up with emerging trends in the industry and within the sector so to be able to best anticipate and provide for user expectations around products and usability. 

This role owns the research and testing of user journeys as well as the analysis of testing output and data. UX is also responsible for the maintenance of the department's personas catalogue and keeps them regularly updated for all digital work undertaken. In addition to designing user centric outcomes for product development, this role will also strive to improve interdepartmental design and communication tools by suggesting how different teams and departments can continuously adapt ways of working to improve and drive outcomes. 

Working closely with developers, designers, fundraising, and other teams across the organisation, this role will help to define new digital requirements for website visitors and digital product users. The UX designer is also champions UDD across the Charity and leads the effort to introduce, inform, and promote the concepts of both UDD and UX throughout the organisation. 

About the Team: 

The Digital Development Team is comprised of Drupal Dev, UX, QA, and Project Management roles and sits within their larger Technology area. They work in an agile environment to deliver concurrent projects along several streams of internal clients. They take a full stack view to site and application development and manage most of their work with the Atlassian suite of products but are constantly looking out for new ways to work more efficiently as a team. The team takes ownership of not only sites and code, but also the environments, hosting, CI / CD, and testing. 

About you: 

- Fluency with Sketch, Zeplin, the Adobe suite, front end HTML / CSS / JS. 
- Experience with inVision and Axure. 
- Demonstrated experience designing and running user tests. 
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate fluently with technical and non-technical staff at all levels.
