Job Details

Prospectus is pleased to be collaborating with a female-only charity, who provide emotional and practical support to women experiencing domestic violence and/or abuse. A large part of their work is crisis intervention, working with women who require urgent help and face imminent danger. They are now seeking an experienced interim MARAC Coordinator to help coordinate, administer and manage the operation of the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference and also partake in the duty system.

As MARAC Coordinator, your role will involve bringing together agencies to ensure that local systems are truly keeping survivors safe, holding perpetrators to account, and preventing domestic abuse. A key principle of the post is respecting the independence of each agency, and ensuring that MARAC's key principles are survivor's and children's safety, and offender accountability. The MARAC Coordinator will also take part in the duty system by assessing new referrals and then ether signposting those who do not fit the service remit, or passing the case for allocation to the team to provide ongoing support.

To apply for this role, you must have significant knowledge of the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector, and the issues relating to it. You must be familiar with the MARAC process and must have significant experience of working in partnership with a number of agencies for the benefit of vulnerable service users. Overall you will be detail-orientated, organised and be able to communicate with a range of different stakeholders.

Please note, this is initially a temporary position whilst the organisation recruit on a permanent basis, and will be to start immediately. The role will be based in Hammersmith, but will involve working from Brent once a month.
Due to the nature of the role, please only apply if you have a current DBS issued within the last 6 months or registered to the online update service.

This post is open to female applicant only as being female is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
