Salary: £18 - £20 per hour            
Location: Working at home. Some travel to the London offices will be required initially.  
Hours: Part-time, 10-20 hours per week, 3 months contract initially with possibility of extension

Overview

Founded in 1978, our client, based at Imperial College London, is the largest collaboration of reproductive medical health researchers in the UK.  It is the only charity of its kind to lie consistently at the heart of original leading-edge scientific research investigating why and how things can go wrong with conception, pregnancy and birth, and cancers that affect women; delivering real evidence-based results for medical treatments and outcomes of worldwide significance.

The Role

Sound knowledge of working in development and/or health and medical areas would be advantageous. The role would suit an ambitious and energetic individual with great attention to detail, strong organisational and administrative skills and possessing the ability to work on their own initiative.  The Bid Writer will research and produce successful, high quality bid documents and funding applications for new development funding projects. 

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will be;

  • Confident in writing & producing new material
  • Work to tight deadlines and targets
  • Methodical process-driven and organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to maintain good working relationship
  • Ability to articulate scientific or medical  high level concepts in clearly to Trust and Foundations and other Funders
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to work under pressure
