The role of change communications manager reports to Head of Internal Engagement with a strong dotted line responsibility to the Director of Strategic Change.

The postholder will be a key member of the engagement and change teams, leading the task to communicate these aims to our people; ensuring they feel (and are) listened to and are confident in the decision-making process; ensuring they embrace change and build it into everything they do, encouraging others to do the same

Main responsibilities

Strategy and plan

- Develop and refresh a communications strategy and plan that fully integrates with the wider internal engagement strategy

- Support the development of audience segmentation; new and existing engagement channels; and the core narrative


- Understand the changes and challenges; to develop messages and channels, and to deliver collateral that communicates and engages with all our people

- Work with other parts of the communications and advocacy directorate (media, marketing, policy and advocacy, and strategic communications) to manage our external messaging

- Work with, and advise key operational leaders and their staff on how they can practically and effectively communicate change.

Communications advice, guidance and consultancy

- Understands the key objectives of all stakeholders and their requirements for communications support

- Individual managers and leaders are supported to develop their plans and products where appropriate

- The change communications team is recognised and valued as a key contributor to the delivery of change and internal engagement within the organisation

Job Offer

-18 month contract

-£47,000 annual salary
