We are Start Network, a global network of more than 40 aid agencies leading for radical change in the global aid system so that the world can deal better with the humanitarian challenges of today, and of the future. Our aim is to deliver more effective emergency aid, harnessing the power and knowledge of the network to make faster and better decisions to help people affected by crises.
We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead our ambitious goal to transform the global humanitarian aid system together with our members. The CEO will promote the mission, values and goals of the Start Network, lead its growth, and ensure its impact as a bold agent of change.
The successful candidate is likely to have an entrepreneurial background, be passionate about delivering the best possible support to people affected by humanitarian crises, and be a natural communicator who can inspire and align others around common goals.
The candidate’s succession into the role will be a carefully organised transition, with the incumbent CEO taking the organisation through a move from being a hosted entity within Save the Children UK, to a new independent charity in the first part of 2019.
Applications are by email and should include your CV and a letter of motivation (no more than 2 A4 pages) as attachments. These should provide the necessary information to determine how you meet the requirements of the role. Your CV should include the names, roles, relationship to you and full contact details for three references.
Interviews are scheduled for February 2019, with the role anticipated to start in April 2019.
