Position: Legal Adviser (Commercial) - Operations 
Location: London, EC3N 
Contract type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract April 2019 to June 2020 (maternity cover) 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: £48,732 actual per annum

About the role: 

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial lawyer who wishes to make a positive contribution to the charity sector, experience fresh challenges and make a real difference to the lives of people affected by dementia. 

You will be the main contact for providing legal support and advice to the Operations Directorate. 

You will be the lead for advising on responding to tenders for services from commissioners in the health and social care field and be expected to develop an in depth knowledge of health and social care issues, the services which the Society offers and the commissioning environment in which it operates 

You will also advise on strategic projects and other areas as required 

About you: 

Strong commercial contracts experience is essential, with proven experience of advising on key risk areas. A background in the charity sector is desirable. You will be a strong team player, with excellent interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work well under pressure and manage your workload effectively. The work is always varied and challenging.
