Description
The Communications Officer is a new and exciting role for the charity which will be responsible for delivering a full mix communications programme!
The role as Communications Officer will include:
- Writing and editing engaging copy for multi communication channels
- Ensure all copy is optimised for search engines
- Operate the CMS for the website keeping the site updated and optimised
- Monitor traffic and other key performance indicators
- Support the website re-development project
- Create a content plan for social media
- Manage the Charity's photo library
- Provide photography assistance
- Manage the Mailchimp email marketing account
Profile
The successful Communications Officer:
- An indepth understanding of Communication practices
- Website, CMS, design and copywriting experiences
Proven ability to write and edit engaging copy for different audiences
Demonstrable understanding of effective digital communications
- A passion for the charity sector
