HR Officer 

Today, 12 children and young people in the UK hear the shocking news they have cancer. Our client is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families, and provides them with clinical, practical, emotional and financial support. You can be a part of helping them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. 

Position: HR Officer 
Location: London (within walking distance of Hammersmith tube station) 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 hours per week 
Salary: £30,337 per annum

They are looking for an engaged, vibrant, experienced generalist HR Officer to join their fast paced HR team. The HR Officer will provide proactive professional support to managers in all areas of Human Resources and the employee lifecycle. The HR Officer will be a point of contact for general HR queries in relation to the organisation's HR policies and procedure and will manage employee relations cases under the guidance of the HR Business Partner. 

The post holder will be actively involved in and provide feedback on day-to-day HR processes and activities such as recruitment, mandatory on boarding processes and payroll. They are looking for the successful candidate to have the ability to work independently and the ability to use their own initiative. 

About you: 

Experience working within a similar HR role is essential and knowledge of current employment legislation and knowledge and experience of the employee lifecycle would be advantageous. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful applicant will be a strong organiser with excellent attention to detail and the ability to use their initiative and build good working relationships. Payroll understanding and experience is advantageous and having a proactive approach to problem solving is required.
