Our client is the largest independent housing association in the Borough of Broxbourne, providing over 4,600 homes across Hertfordshire and Essex. They currently have an opportunity for a Programme Assistant (Development) to support and assist the development team in the delivery of new build property. You will monitor the development programme, spend and budget, liaise with Homes England and their finance department, claim grants, maintain databases, obtain rent and sales estimates and prepare reports for Executive, Board, Homes England and Local Authorities. Proactive in your approach, you will maintain detailed audit files for compliance and audit purposes, monitor the accuracy of scheme cash flow forecasting and assist in the preparation of Development capital budgets. They are looking for an individual who will have excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to negotiate and discuss issues calmly with a wide range of audiences. Ideally, you will have knowledge of social housing development and Homes England however this is not essential. You must have excellent numerical skills and have the ability to work to deadlines and demonstrate flexibility and prioritise in varied workload.
